Oper Leipzig’s Musikalische Komödie continues its long-running German-language production of My Fair Lady (Robert Gilbert translation) into the 2026/27 season. First staged in November 2008, the revival maintains a consistent artistic team: staging by Karl Zugowski, musical direction by Christoph-Johannes Eichhorn, set design by Bernd Leistner, costumes by Marlis Knoblauch, and choreography by Monika Geppert. The theatre celebrated the 100th performance of this staging under Eichhorn’s baton. Musikalische Komödie, one of Oper Leipzig’s venues dedicated to musical theatre and operetta, has presented My Fair Lady since 1967. The current production upholds that tradition with a running time of about 3 hours including one intermission and an age recommendation of 12+.
