In a Blink of a Night was the 22 June concert in Ravenna Festival's Le 100 Chitarre Elettriche project, presented under the broader heading We Sing the Body Electric. The production placed an enlarged electric-guitar ensemble at the center of a concert connecting contemporary composition with rock and other popular-music languages. The official materials describe the electric guitar as an instrument that has moved across genres and acquired a role in contemporary music. The performance used a large ensemble format rather than a conventional band lineup, with named solo electric-guitar and drum parts led by PMCE artists, 80 electric guitars, 20 electric basses, and drums in the Tadini and Branca works, complemented by Rockin'1000. The concert was originally announced for the open-air Palazzo San Giacomo in Russi but was moved to Palazzo Mauro De Andre in Ravenna because of a weather alert, with the 21:30 start time unchanged.
