Hållsten/Alfvén/Bromander

This is a two-work contemporary concert built around Mattias Hållsten's exploration of the boundary between acoustic and electronic sound. The program combines synthesis techniques, varied instrumentation and precise intonation. It includes the 2024 trio Hållsten/Alfvén/Bromander for shō, voice and contrabass, followed by Hållsten's 2023 electroacoustic work Solo #2 for shō and electronics. The project is connected to Hållsten's Stockholm JI Ensemble and explores practical, theoretical and intuitive approaches to just intonation.
