Israel & Mohamed is a two-person production conceived and performed by Mohamed El Khatib and Israel Galván. It begins with their shared practice of football and uses that point of contact to open a dialogue about fathers, disappointed expectations, artistic inheritance and the choice of independence. The production combines documentary theatre and contemporary flamenco, treating the two artists' bodies as living archives. Two deliberately kitsch altars and video interviews materialize the presence and viewpoint of the fathers. Fred Hocké is credited with scenography and artistic collaboration, with video by Zacharie Dutertre and Emmanuel Manzano, sound by Pedro León and costumes by Micol Notarianni.
