Here We Are

About

Here We Are is Manchester Camerata's multi-day community music festival, returning for a second year after its October 2024 debut. Over six days the orchestra divides into 12 smaller ensembles that travel across all ten metropolitan boroughs of Greater Manchester — Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan — performing free concerts, pop-up performances, workshops and family-friendly events in public spaces such as skate parks, shopping centres, libraries and care settings. The festival is bookended by open rehearsals at The Monastery in Gorton, where the orchestra prepares for its headline concert. Programming is curated in partnership with local organisations in each borough, and includes activities tailored to specific communities, including sessions designed for people living with dementia.
