An athletic choreography for six men by Robert Battle, The Hunt reveals the predatory side of human nature and the primitive thrill of the chase. A thundering percussion score by Les Tambours du Bronx drives explosive movement at the boundary between martial arts, gladiatorial rites, and modern sports. Originally created for Ailey II, the piece pushes dancers to their physical and emotional limits.
