PARADE is a contemporary reimagining of the surrealist ballet created by Jean Cocteau, Pablo Picasso, Erik Satie, and Léonide Massine for the Ballets Russes. Drawing on the paradox at the heart of the historic avant‑garde work, choreographer Andrew Graham makes the classic his own. In this parallel world, the inclusive ensemble L'Autre Maison invents a new technology of communication where the human body—in all its sensitivity and diversity—functions as an interface. The piece celebrates difference and shared vulnerability, weaving together varied histories and bodies into a joyful, unconventional beauty. In emphasizing that diversity is the source of collective strength, this PARADE becomes a playful, transformative spectacle for today.
