The Athlete's Symphony

The Athlete's Symphony is an original touring music-theatre production by the Greek National Opera, with music, libretto, and musical direction by Alexandros Mouzas. It explores the relationship between music, physical activity, and collective effort. The staging combines lyrical and orchestral writing with hip-hop, electronic dance music, recorded everyday sounds, and live-generated sound. The production features three vocal soloists, three instrumentalists, a small Greek National Opera instrumental ensemble, children's choirs, student ensembles, and local participating groups.
