Go to Come Back is an original music-theatre performance developed within the Co-OPERAtive educational programme of the Greek National Opera. It reflects on coming of age and the search for personal identity, exploring how people understand themselves while pursuing dreams, expectations and talents. The performance was created by 60 young Athenians and unaccompanied refugees aged 15–17, who worked weekly with artists and educators in music, theatre and opera. The participants contributed to the work from the initial idea through the creation of a complete performance, using improvisation, theatre games, free writing, music games, vocal improvisation, choral structures, graphic scores, vocal techniques and soundscapes.
