Radiance

Radiance was a 2019 English Music Festival concert at Dorchester Abbey featuring sacred and lyrical choral works alongside orchestral music. The programme included pieces by Paul Carr, Arthur Bliss, Ola Gjeilo, Gerald Finzi, and Ralph Vaughan Williams. A focal point was Vaughan Williams’s Oboe Concerto with soloist Nicholas Daniel, widely praised for its passionate performance. Paul Carr’s Stabat Mater provided an emotionally powerful close to the evening. The event also celebrated the recent EM Records release “Radiance” (EMRCD055) with a similar line-up of repertoire and artists.
