Presented by the Cultural Affairs Bureau as part of the 32nd Macao International Music Festival, this concert features the British vocal ensemble Stile Antico in a program titled Tenebrae Responsories. In the historic Dom Pedro V Theatre, the ensemble explores the sacred polyphony of the Spanish Renaissance, performing without a conductor and relying on close chamber-music interaction among its twelve singers. The program highlights the dramatic intensity and refined spirituality of music by Tomás Luis de Victoria and Francisco Guerrero, praised for its impeccable technique and deep emotional resonance.
