Mimi and the Golden Touch is a new family opera by English Touring Opera that adapts the Greek myth of King Midas to a school setting, exploring friendship, fitting in, belonging, and the power of being oneself. The production was co-created with students at Briarwood School in Bristol, with families and Learning Disabled audiences in mind. Lucy Bradley directs and Sascha Gilmour designs set and costumes; the team also includes assistant director John Ieuan Jones and stage manager/actor Paul Hernes Barnes.
