The opera for babies is conceived as a shared interactive journey for the grown-up little ones and their little grown-ups. Set up as a live installation in a comfortable, safe and soft space, it invites children to move freely and explore a world of music, sound and movement created just for them. Using a classical three-part structure as its backbone, it begins with the night — musically and thematically calm, gentle and warm — continues with the morning, awakening and the birth of light, and ends with the day, celebration and play. Four performers, each through her own medium — voice, movement, instrument — guide us on a journey from dream to play, from dark to light, from abstract to concrete, from voice to word. Let’s dive in…
