Veleno

Veleno is a new chamber opera commissioned through SIAE’s “Giovani compositori in scena,” a program promoted by AGIS in collaboration with ANFOLS and ATIT within “SIAE – Dalla parte di chi crea,” won by composer Gaia Aloisi. The score is entrusted to Stefano Simone Pintor, who also serves as librettist and stage director. The production is a co-production of Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma, ITeatri di Reggio Emilia, and Teatro Comunale di Modena; it premieres at Teatro Municipale Valli in Reggio Emilia on 28 April 2027 and transfers to Teatro Regio di Parma on 14 and 15 May 2027. Presented with Italian surtitles, Veleno is part of the Teatro Regio di Parma’s 2027 Opera Season, which features eight titles in total—six operas, one concert, and one operetta—including two new operas (Veleno and L’anno che verrà). Detailed information on sets, costumes, lighting, and cast has not yet been published.
