Madame Bovary is a stage adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's 1857 novel. The production explores the dullness of ordinary life, imagined fantasies and advertising's promise of happiness. Emma's dissatisfaction is connected to the promise of a better life that can be purchased on credit, which becomes a trap. Tomáš Loužný directs and adapted the production. The creative team includes Jana Slouková, Dragan Stojčevski, Kateřina Jirmanová, Ivo Gregorec Sedláček, Přemysl Janda and Andrea Opavská. Miloslav Jirda translated the text and Alžběta Soperová translated the English surtitles.
