FANTASIA is a theatre production directed by Anna Karasińska. Its central premise is a meeting between people who would not otherwise encounter one another. The production places the audience at the intersection of the actors' actions and the audience's imagination, with figures appearing, interacting, accompanying one another, and disappearing. The staging uses a completely empty stage, harsh lighting, and no script in the conventional sense. Six actors are mostly motionless and silent while the director, positioned behind the auditorium and initially invisible, gives instructions through a microphone and composes fragments of fictional stories. The performers construct characters and situations through an improvisatory process rather than through a fixed sequence of conventional scenes. The production premiered on 9 April 2017.
