INHERITANCE is a unique cross-genre project in the 2026 concert season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, presented on the Teatro Carmen Melis stage. Across two performances (27–28 March 2026), jazz icon Paolo Fresu joins the Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari for the first time under the baton and arrangements of Paolo Silvestri. The program draws on Fresu’s original music from nearly five decades, specially tailored for Cagliari and its theatre, and expands the orchestral palette with the Paolo Fresu Quintet and Devil Quartet. Special guests include Elena Ledda (vocals), Antonello Salis (accordion), and Alessio Atzori/Notrasa (electronics), weaving jazz, contemporary idioms, Sardinian traditions, and live electronics. Visual architecture, lighting, and staging by Luca Devito, with visual production by Nicola Munerati Faes and artists Martina Silli and Bruno Savona, complete an immersive, interval-free 90‑minute experience.
