THE ABSTRACTION OF TIME is a multimedia concert work by Slovenian composer Tobija Hudnik, created for the unidad.salgan ensemble and presented within the SLOWIND festival at the Slovenian Philharmonic in Ljubljana. The piece combines an unconventional instrumentation—two percussionists, two double bassists, alto saxophone, electronics, guitar, and piano—with live video mapping, projections, and animation by Stella Ivsek, forming an integrated audiovisual experience. Hudnik, then studying at the Berlin Jazz Institute, leads the Berlin-based ensemble, whose doubled low-register forces and electronics expand the textural and spatial palette. The event was co-presented by The Slowind Music Society and Institut abeceda.abeceda, with free admission as part of an outreach-focused contemporary music program. The full performance was captured on video (approx. 60 minutes) by a dedicated team led by director/editor Lara Sifrer and cinematographer/colorist Martin Klabus, with additional camera and technical support.
