Medusa is a theatrical concert that reveals the hidden story of Medusa’s abuse, transformation, and ultimate ascension. Through this mythological figure, composer Saskia Venegas unfolds the nightmare of women living with PTSD, the deepest trace left by sexual abuse. Medusa becomes a symbol of identities broken by violence, of stories that turn us to stone. With this performance, space is opened to acknowledge the lasting consequences of abuse, so that survivors can heal, find their voices again, and rise together.
