Inner Circle

Inner Circle is a world-premiere chamber work by Finnish composer Aino Tenkanen created for the young musicians of the RSPO Orchestra Academy. Developed through an iterative, collaborative process, the piece uniquely integrates choreography into the musicians’ performance, asking the ensemble to engage physically as well as musically. Scored for an 11-player mixed ensemble of strings, woodwinds, horn and percussion, the work blurs traditional boundaries of chamber music presentation. Filmed at Konserthuset Stockholm on April 24, 2021, the digital-first production was released on Konserthuset Play on May 17, 2021, with a runtime of about 16 minutes.
