GöteborgsOperan’s production is a short concert-format staging built around newly written songs and a selection of existing love songs performed by the GöteborgsOperan Children’s Choir. The new material was created from ideas collected from pre-school children in three districts of Gothenburg (Biskopsgården, Torslanda and Centrum) and set to music and text by David Oest. The production uses a child-centred approach: the musical content is derived from children’s own expressions about love and is presented for young audiences (recommended age 4–8). Performance personnel include a conductor and piano accompaniment; performances took place on the Small Stage in Gothenburg and in Valhall at Skövde Kulturhus.
