“Mi canción” was a concert by the Sodre National Children’s Choir with guest musician Hugo Fattoruso, directed by Víctor Mederos and produced by Sodre. The concept placed Fattoruso’s solo career and his work with Los Shakers, Opa, Trío Fattoruso and other bands in dialogue with the children’s choir. The event was conceived as a meeting between Fattoruso—who began performing professionally at age twelve—and children beginning to explore music at a similar age. According to Sodre’s official account, the 2021 show was recorded live and later became the album “Mi Canción.” Production conditions were shaped by the pandemic: rehearsals took place via videoconference and the public presentation used protective partitions.
