Dogs! is a family musical by Heiner Kondschak that shifts the theatrical spotlight from felines to canines. Produced by the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, it embraces a lively, outdoor-friendly atmosphere, especially at the Schwimmende Wiese in Schwerin, where well-behaved, leashed dogs were welcomed in the picnic area. The production features an ensemble portraying various dog breeds with inventive costumes and choreography that capture canine mannerisms. Directed by Thomas Ott-Albrecht, with stage and costume design by Birgit Voß, the show blends humor, street-gang dynamics, and romance.
