This concert is a specialized solo presentation focusing on avant-garde and extended piano techniques, especially prepared and inside piano. It pays tribute to Polish-Jewish composer Roman Haubenstock-Ramati on his 100th birthday, highlighting his pioneering work with graphic scores. A centerpiece is the world premiere of his 1954 composition, Studie in Form, which remained unperformed for decades. The program also emphasizes the rediscovery of Lucia Dlugoszewski, a United States-based composer whose work has been largely unknown in Poland. Following efforts to locate her scores, the festival presents her composition for timbre piano. The project is realized in cooperation with Bôłt Records, with licensing and archival support from the US Library of Congress and the Erick Hawkins Dance Foundation.
