When You End And I Begin...

When You End and I Begin... is a contemporary ballet choreographed by Robert Bondara. The piece originated during the 1st Choreographic Workshop at Teatr Wielki in 2009, an initiative by director Krzysztof Pastor encouraging dancers of the Polish National Ballet to create and stage their own works. Recognized as the most interesting project from that workshop, the ballet was incorporated into the Polish National Ballet’s chamber repertoire the following season. Bondara also designed the costumes and lighting, creating a cohesive artistic vision. In 2010 it opened the triple bill Alpha and More (Alpha i inne), a program conceived to confront young Polish choreography with contemporary Polish music. The ballet is set to Paweł Szymański’s chamber music, presented in performance via recording.
