The 1982 staging of Inge Bartsch at Teatr Wielki in Warsaw was an auteur production by Henryk Czyż, who composed the score, directed the staging, and conducted the performances. The production featured scenography by Krzysztof Pankiewicz and choreography by Marta Bochenek. Conceived as a lyrical poem (Poemat księżycowy) adapted from the poetry of Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, it blended operatic and music-theatre elements. The creative team also included chorus master Henryk Górski and Beata Swanidze, who prepared the soloists vocally and served as accompanist. The premiere took place on 11 December 1982 and the run comprised 16 performances.
