Pan Marimba

Pan Marimba was conceived specifically as a children’s opera, tailored to the vocal capabilities of young performers. The production was created for the children of the Alla Polacca choir at the National Opera in Warsaw. Directed by Włodzimierz Nurkowski, it was staged on the intimate Scena Kameralna (Chamber Stage) of Teatr Wielki. The concept integrated adult professional soloists from the National Opera with youth ensembles, including the Alla Polacca choir and students of the State Ballet School in Warsaw. This intergenerational collaboration shaped the musical and visual character of the show. The world premiere took place on 27 September 1998.
