The Orchestre de Picardie’s program “COSMOS” offers an eclectic musical journey led by conductor Hossein Pishkar. At its core is Riccardo Del Fra’s Mystery Galaxy, a work in which a jazz quintet engages in a true dialogue with the symphony orchestra, reflecting both outer space and inner, emotional galaxies. Framing this contemporary centerpiece are Haydn’s Symphony No. 46—an incisive work from the Sturm und Drang period—and a suite of excerpts from Rameau’s Les Boréades, adding orchestral color and lyrical expression. Conceived as high-level eclecticism, the project foregrounds encounters between musical aesthetics and features an educational component, including a school performance exploring the connection between jazz and classical music.
