A theatre production of Antonio Tarantino’s Stabat Mater, presented by Artistas Unidos in the context of O São Luiz no Festival de Almada. The São Luiz event page confirms the run in the Sala Principal of Teatro São Luiz from 9–13 July 2008. The text is translated by Tereza Bento and the staging is by Jorge Silva Melo. Design is by Rita Lopes Alves (sets and costumes) with lighting by Pedro Domingos. The production history notes an earlier site-specific approach in non-traditional spaces, including the abandoned Convento das Mónicas, before transferring to the main stage at São Luiz. The role of Maria is performed by Maria João Luís.
