'Après moi, le Dèluge' is a chamber opera for mezzo-soprano, tenor, clarinet, cello, trumpet, percussion and piano, premiered in 2017 at the National Theater of Catalonia, composed and conducted by the renowned composer Miquel Ortega. Based on the homonymous play by Lluïsa Cunillé herself, the play takes place in a hotel in Kinshasa, Africa, where the opposing worlds of a businessman and his translator collide in a reality foreign to both. The value of money against human and spiritual values, in the hostile and bloody environment of a colonized region. LittleOpera Zamora presents the ABSOLUTE PREMIERE of the Spanish version , with an adaptation of the original staging by Jordi Prat Coll. A commitment of the Littleopera Festival to normalize the presence of contemporary creation music in the operatic programming.
