Spoon River Anthology

These productions of "Spoon River Anthology" were staged by the Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department under the direction of C. Mires. The department mounted the work twice, twelve years apart. The initial production took place in March 1983 as the department’s 100th show, presented in the Stagehouse Theatre (Room 247). The production was revived in March 1995 as the department’s 159th show. Because the theatre complex was under renovation, the 1995 performances were temporarily relocated to Room 220; the main Stagehouse Theatre reopened in October 1995. Both iterations used the adaptation conceived by Charles Aidman, integrating traditional staging with musical interludes.
