San Diego Junior Theatre presents the San Diego Premiere of A Bad Case of Stripes: The Musical as part of its 78th season. Directed by Kandace Crystal with music direction by Kira Blaskovich, this family-friendly staging brings David Shannon’s colorful children’s book to life in a musical adaptation by Kate Haderlie, who provides the script, music, and lyrics. Running approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 15-minute intermission, the production highlights themes of self-acceptance and the courage to embrace individuality. Special community elements include a Pajama Night with a small gift for attendees and an ASL-interpreted performance to ensure accessibility for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community.
