About

Singapur is a Catalan play written and directed by Pau Miró within the T6 project at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, a program supporting emerging Catalan playwrights. The staging combined Pi Piquer’s scenography and costumes with lighting by Carles Rigual, a sound design by Lucas Ariel Vallejos, projections by Alfonso Ferri, and movement direction by Mercè Boronat. The production was co-produced by Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Teatre de Ponent (Granollers), with support from Sala Beckett and other institutions. After its initial run at TNC in late 2007, the production transferred to Sala Beckett in January–February 2008, broadening its reach in Barcelona’s theatre circuit. The piece, recognized for its fresh voice in contemporary Catalan drama, was later nominated for the Premis Max Best Revelation Show in 2009. Cast featured Laia Martí, Amedé Nwatchok, and Ferran Rañé.
