'A Pandastic Life' is an original musical specially written for Hong Kong, presented as a world premiere by the Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus. The production is structured into two distinct sessions. The first session features the world premiere of the musical itself, while the second session showcases the Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus Student Ensemble. The staging focuses on the cultural significance of giant pandas in Hong Kong, portraying them not just as animals but as characters with deep emotional lives. The production explores themes of migration, adaptation, and the building of a new home in a vibrant urban environment. It aims to celebrate Hong Kong's unique culture through the lens of these beloved national treasures, highlighting the bond between the pandas and the city's residents.
