A new in-house production by the Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion: a music-theatre adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale with original music by Nikos Xanthoulis. The eight-player ensemble is led by conductor Rafail Pylarinos. Stage direction and dramaturgy are by Anna Papagiannaki Divani; the text is adapted by Lena Georgiadou, with lyrics by Maria Bourani. Sets and costumes (including painted execution) are by Anna Machairianaki; movement/choreographic supervision by Olia Lydaki; lighting design by Kimon Kitrinos; and sound design by Dimitris Chatzakis. Billed as a family musical-theatre work, the production premiered on 7 March 2020 in the Andreas and Maria Kalokairinou Hall.
