The production is an original contemporary dance work by Andrej Petrovič that explores various images of women, inspired by the phases of the moon. It is structured around four archetypes that correspond to these lunar phases, treating femininity and the female body in both conventional and unconventional roles. The piece juxtaposes images of ecstatic force, love, sacrifice, pain, and resilience. The staging presents choreographic scenes portraying different stages and aspects of life, including girlhood, men’s ecstasy, the mother, the witch, and a specific character named Kristka. It incorporates ensemble and choir sections to create a multi-layered exploration of femininity. Themes of birth, rebirth, altered states of consciousness, euphoria, and internalization are central to the artistic vision.
