In this new piece, the longtime dancer of Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater Wuppertal pauses to reflect on herself: on the relationship with her own body and with dance, on what it means to be on stage, and on the sense of the “other-than-self” that theatre entails. The work questions the dichotomy between being and seeming, using dance and spoken word as tools of autobiographical inquiry. The performance is presented as a kind of two-voiced self-portrait in which the protagonist dialogues with her artistic and personal identity.
