One hundred years after the publication of Josip Vandot's story “Kekec na hudi poti,” this singular hero of Slovenian literature continues to inspire new generations of readers and spectators with his courage and bright ideas. Conceived as a “ballet fairytale,” the production is designed to introduce the youngest audiences to the magical world of dance theatre. Choreographer Edward Clug, in collaboration with the renowned Slovenian group Katalena and its leader Boštjan Narat, uses Vandot’s popular story as a portal. The production blends contemporary dance with a distinctive musical concept that reimagines traditional motifs through the artistic team’s unique vision.
