'my name is Alondra' is a commissioned song cycle created through Boston Lyric Opera's 'Poetry in Music' initiative. This project pairs local poets with composers to create new vocal works. The piece was specifically designed for performance on the BLO Street Stage, a mobile performance space intended to bring opera directly into Boston neighborhoods. The production emphasizes community engagement and the voices of local youth artists.
