About
In the jungle, a human child, Mowgli, is discovered by Mother Wolf, who decides to protect and raise him. Mowgli grows up amidst the joy and adventures of the animal kingdom, yet an inexplicable pull draws him towards the city and human companionship. He eventually leaves the jungle, shadowed by the formidable Tiger, only to find that despite appearing to have found his place among humans, his heart still yearns for the wild. The ballet explores themes of nature, friendship, love, trust, hope, and family, questioning where one truly belongs when they don't fully fit into either the animal or human world. Choreographer Raimonds Martinovs aims to address relevant topics such as environmental pollution and the treatment of our planet and animals, encouraging contemplation rather than intimidation, and emphasizing compassion, empathy, family, and love.
