This production, titled "Holy Night," is a curated concert program focusing on Italian and Czech Christmas vocal and instrumental music. Presented by the Collegium Marianum as part of the Barokní podvečery (Baroque Soirées) series, the event aims to recreate the atmosphere of historical Christmas celebrations through period-appropriate performance practices. The artistic vision centers on the juxtaposition of Mediterranean and Central European Baroque traditions, highlighting the shared musical language of the era while celebrating regional nuances. The performance utilizes period instruments, including Baroque violins, viola, cello, flauto traverso, organ, theorbo, and double bass, to achieve an authentic soundscape.
