Blood Wedding

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) presented Federico García Lorca’s classic tragedy Blood Wedding during its 2008–2009 season. Directed by 2004 CCM alumnus Sky Heussenstamm, the production was featured locally as part of a broader Spanish-themed cultural moment in Cincinnati and was listed among the Cincinnati Opera’s “Spanish Season Partner” events. As a mainstage CCM Drama presentation, the show offered conservatory actors the opportunity to engage with Lorca’s poetic, symbolist text within a fully staged academic production.
