Ntando Cele’s Wasted Land is a fiery, whimsical music-theatre performance that braids concert, satire, and storytelling. Against an apocalyptic backdrop, she tackles the human disasters of fast fashion and Western feel‑good ecology, exposing the contradictions of green capitalism and the lingering colonial gaze. Together with Egyptian composer Wael Sami Elkholy and three remarkable singer‑performers, Wasted Land becomes a wild, liberating plea for a decolonial ecology.
