“Revealed Time” was a curated concert program by Esprit Orchestra that explored the thematic and sonic dimensions of time through four contemporary works. It featured two World Premieres by Canadians Adam Scime and Douglas Schmidt, alongside Canadian Premieres by Henri Dutilleux and Joji Yuasa. The artistic focus centered on the interplay between soloist and orchestra—especially in Yuasa’s title work for viola and orchestra—and on spatial and timbral imagination, such as Scime’s stereophonic orchestral placement. A pre-concert chat at 7:15 PM hosted by composer Alexina Louie provided context for listeners.
