Plans For Future Operas

The Norwegian composer and author Øyvind Torvund creates plans for future operas, presenting numerous fragments of ideas that defy the laws of physics and acoustics. It seems extremely unrealistic that these plans will ever be completed. In this staging, Torvund examines communication phenomena, particularly those that are spatially and temporally askew. The production explores how conversation occurs across different dimensions and what kind of friendships develop beyond general and special relativity theories. It is an open field where animals, figures, visuals, and acoustics meet. The performance involves the artists confronting an abundance of projected drawings that indicate possible visualizations of these future operas.
