RHYTHM was scheduled as the sixteenth concert of the Sinfónica de Tenerife’s 2019/2020 season at Auditorio de Tenerife on 29 May 2020. The orchestra was to perform under the baton of Icelandic conductor Daníel Bjarnason with pianist Juho Bjarnason as soloist. The program was conceived to pair 20th‑century neoclassical currents with a contemporary orchestral voice. However, due to the state of alarm in Spain during the COVID‑19 pandemic, the concert was cancelled and public activities of the Sinfónica de Tenerife were suspended, with web purchases refunded automatically.
