Meteors is a premiere solo theatrical work developed by The CRAM Collective through The Mill’s 2025 Centre Stage Residency in partnership with the Adelaide Fringe. The production examines how the immediate shock and lingering aftermath of grief shape young people. Directed by Connor Reidy, the staging is deliberately minimalist—one chair, two steps, and precise lighting—to focus on the protagonist’s inner world. A deftly crafted sound score by Will Spartalis paces the performance and sustains tension from the outset. The motif of meteor showers and eclipses anchors the narrative, balancing the heaviness of terminal illness with sharp, human comedy. The result is an earnest, thoughtful exploration of loss that resists false sentimentality.
