About

Chroma is an original world-premiere work that fuses dance, music, and visual arts, presented as part of Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese’s 75th summer season. The production is distinctly interdisciplinary, blending choreographic movement with contemporary music and interactive projections. Director and choreographer Silvia Giuffrè draws on abstract art, with choreography inspired by the forms, colors, and emotions of works by Wassily Kandinsky, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and Carla Accardi. This translation from painting to the moving body creates a full synergy between sound and image. The staging is enhanced by Danilo Coppola’s designs for sets, costumes, and video mapping. Interactive projections dynamically transform the scenography, offering an immersive visual experience that constantly engages with the dancers and the live musical performance.
