Adagietto

The production of Adagietto was presented as a premiere ballet at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw on December 23, 1979. It formed one-third of a special evening dedicated to the choreographic works of Walentin Jelizariew, collectively billed as "Balety Walentina Jelizarjewa." The staging used music by Gustav Mahler, with scenography by Marek Dobrowolski. The performance was conducted by Andrzej Straszyński, offering a late-1970s interpretation of Mahler’s music through contemporary ballet at Poland’s national opera house.
