This concert features Hèctor Parra’s Inscape, a 30‑minute work for large orchestra, 16 instrumental soloists and real‑time electronics, created in collaboration with astrophysicist Jean‑Pierre Luminet. Conceived as a psychoacoustic voyage, the piece transforms the hall into a cosmological space, leading listeners from whispered, quasi‑vocal textures to vast, contorted masses of sound. The progressive reinforcement of orchestra, soloists and live electronics propels the audience toward zones of extreme energy, where musical space‑time seems to warp. At the event horizon of a rotating acoustical black hole, electronically generated “gravitational waves” compress, spatialize and pulse the sound so that the room itself seems to dilate and retract. The journey ultimately threads a ring‑shaped wormhole, imagined as a passage to another universe beyond destructive gravity. The program also included Xenakis’s Anaktoria and Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.
